Who I Am

Welcome to rnworld!

I’m r.n., and I’m so glad you’re here. If you’re like me, you’ve probably faced your share of mental health challenges and are now wanting to show compassion to yourself one-step-at-a-time. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been the therapist friend—the one who listens, supports, and helps others find their way through tough times and I’ve always been grateful to be a safe space for the people I love. But the truth is, I’ve had my own battles with mental health and I’ve always struggled t0 ask for help. It hasn’t always been easy, but along the way, I’ve discovered that small changes can make a big difference.

I won’t sell you a lie and tell you that things will magically change overnight – because they oftentimes won’t. It also is not a linear journey, some days you will be at 10% and other days you may be at 70% and that is okay. Our emotions are not static, they come in a range and sometimes certain parts of ourselves may be more activated than others. This is why I have created this space. I believe that taking care of your mental health is a journey, one that’s made up of small, consistent steps rather than giant leaps. A space where it’s okay to not feel positive all the time but a space where you know you can find some hope and comfort.

Whether it’s starting a gratitude journal, getting to know yourself a little better, or just setting aside a few minutes each day for self-care, these little routines can pave the way for bigger transformations. However, they require consistency – sometimes you need to commit to your habits over your mood. Whether it’s writing down three things you’re grateful for but skipping meditation, or sticking to your nighttime routine while missing your daytime one – it’s okay. Over time, with patience and self-compassion, you’ll find yourself gradually embracing these practices more fully. We are not about going from 0 to 100 here, there are 99 other steps in between.

My mission here is simple: to help you find the tools, products and practices that can support you on your journey to better mental health and self-care. I carefully select and recommend products that align with the values of self-care and wellbeing. Many I would have used myself, and others simply align with the intention behind the space I aim to create and hold for you. But more than that, I want this to be a space where you feel connected and less alone; a community where we can all support each other as we navigate the ups and downs of life.

So whether you’re looking for practical tips, inspiring products, or just a place to feel understood, you’re in the right spot. I’m here to guide you, share what I’ve learned, and hopefully help you take those small steps towards a healthier, happier you.

I’m also Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) qualified, which simply means I have completed accredited training in how to support people through difficult mental health moments with gentleness and care. It is important to remember that I am not a mental health professional. Everything I share here is meant to complement rather than replace professional methods of support when needed.

Thank you for being here. Let’s take this journey together.

Warmly, r.n.
